Becoming A RiderCoach or Range Aide
Thank you for your interest in becoming a RiderCoach with CFLMT! RiderCoaches play a crucial role in teaching students to ride safely and have fun while learning. We require that applicants have been riding for years before applying. Then, applicants enter the apprenticeship program within our organization. Apprenticeship times may vary, but are typically a minimum of 6 months to 1 year.
As an apprentice, applicants will "job shadow" the current RiderCoaches and complete an in depth study on the Basic RiderCourse. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship program, applicants will take their skills before the Florida Rider Training Program where they will demonstrate their new abilities to teach the Basic RiderCourse. This process usually takes 7 days to complete.
Further requirements include:
Clean Driving History.
No Criminal Violations.
Own and operate a motorcycle on a regular basis.
Good public speaking skills and teaching/coaching experience is a plus.
